I was the Benevolent Empress Of The Desert: a Las Vegas rock ‘n’ roll event promoter, entertainment writer, graphic designer and great gal about town.
I’m still an Amazonian goddess but I’m at a loss to describe exactly what I am since relocating to Portland, Oregon. I have fond memories of what I have done, I’m just not sure what the future has in store for me. For now, I continue to freelance as a writer, turning in CD reviews to Las Vegas CityLife and blogging about beverages for Examiner.com.
I adore my weird little dog Pedro (he’s a Pomeranian), I sell other people’s castoffs on eBay, I’m forsaking MySpace for Facebook, I Tweet and occasionally Yelp, and I’m LinkedIn. I’m a partner in the t-shirt company Shuttlecock Ink , I DJed with the Bargain DJ Collective and the Beauty School Dropouts, and I brought Punk Rock Bingo to Las Vegas.
Despite my uncertainty, I do know what I don’t like. I dislike bitterly cold winds, tomatoes, racists, that freaky baby corn, airplanes, slobs, mayonnaise, cockroaches, conservative politics, rotten customer service and liars.
